<p>...are the National Merit Semifinalist/Finalist Distinctions? Or the Commended Student distinction?</p>

<p>I'm a junior and I just took the PSATs on October 18th, and I honestly don't think I did well enough on the PSATs to get either distinction [i'm pretty positive I got at least 5-6 wrong on the math section alone, which kind of ruins my chances altogether]</p>

<p>Do those distinctions bear a lot of weight or importance? Or does it not really matter whether or not you have the titles?</p>

<p>at the top colleges not much. However, at some places you can get some nice scholarships.....</p>
