Just took the SAT Biology...come hither!

what were the percentages for the sex linked genes for the Flies and the white eyes?

Oh if its typical female im pretty sure I put XX.

ARE YOU SURE it says TYPICAL femaile?!

YES i am sure its typical i read that 5 times

I said either 100% have red eyes (female XRXR) or 50% have white eyes for both sexes (Female XrXR.)
For the which of the following is not membrane bound, is anyone sure that the answer is nucleolus? Because the question was "Which of the following ORGANELLES is not membrane bound" and I remember thinking that the nuclear envelope was not an organelle...the wording threw me off.

That was so convoluted then; I mean, XO is still a female.

XO syndrome:
A congenital condition of females associated with a defect or absence of an X-chromosome, characterized by short stature, sexual underdevelopment, and other physical abnormalities.

I put 50% since its a sex trait.

I do not remember the membrane bound question. care to refreshen the answer choices?

It said Typical. That question was annoying cause XO will make a female.
I put XX because of the word typical.

grr...I'm really mad then. I made the dumbest mistakes on that SAT II. I hope the curve is really generous.

I put it was both 100% and 50% because you dont know if its homozygous female or heterozygous female

it was nucelolus that was not membrane bound

Wait, what was the question asking "exactly?"

?? exactly?? for what

What was the question looking for?

i dont remember the numbers or anything =T sorry

Hm, well I remember picking 100% for both female and male--or something along those lines--or 100% and 50% for the fly question.

Now, with the nucleolus question--did it ask if it had a membrane?

It asked which did NOT have a membrane, and gave a bunch of choices.

I dont remember it ... is this the M section? Because I did the E section

The answer for no membrane is nucleolus 100% sure

Hm, I remember narrowing it down to endoplasmic reticulum and nucleolus--I think it was in the regular section.

all cellular organelles are membrane bounded

Right, but the nucleolus is withing a nuclear membrane?
