Just transferred to UC from a CC, wanted to transfer to another UC

I transferred into this UC as a pre-major, I chose this school because it had a really good program though I was admitted as a pre-major. Before getting in, I had a 3.8 GPA and was admitted to UCI and Cal Poly for the other schools already in my major. I am struggling, and had never gotten a GPA this low (2.3 GPA) and this is at the new UC. I am not even in my major because I have to retake the pre-req. class that I got a B- in (you need a B to get in). I wanted to know if it’s possible to transfer from this UC to UCI, which is where I got accepted last year; although I now have a lower GPA. What will be my other options? I am feeling really stuck, alone as I am far away from home, and trying not to go into depression. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can transfer to UCI but your current UC GPA will impact your chances and it will follow you to UCI if accepted. Since the UC transfer application deadline has passed, what do you plan to do until Fall 2019?

Based on your post, I am assuming you are at UCSB as an Pre-Econ major? If you have to wait until Fall 2019 to transfer, I would try to make the best of your current situation at the UC and retake your pre-req course and enlisting some help from your professor and/or tutor.
