Just when she thinks she's done....need advice!

So, we have all our apps in. Good, right? Bad. Daughter keeps finding schools that others are telling her to check out. We already added two, which may not seem like a problem. But here is our dilema: She has to keep asking the GC for his letter and transcript because he doesn't do them on-line.

Is this typical? I keep sending apologies to GC for adding more schools! At what point do you say THAT"S ALL!!!! and be done with it?

PS She applied to 9 schools

You stop at the point the GC refuses to complete the rec or the $ for app fees dries up :)

I don’t want to speak for the GC, but it is still mid-season. I don’t find it odd that students are finding more choices.

9 is not an outrageous number, especially given she seems very undecided. Many GCs suggest 4 reaches, 4 matches and 4 safeties, or 2 reaches and 6 safeties , some of them financial. What is typical at your school? But you might sit her down and get her to focus on what she wants in a school and what these additions bring to the table. Mor eimportant than the burdening of the GC is whether your daughter has a clear vision of what she seeks and why.
Did she apply to an EA schools where incoming results might clarify things?

Well, if she finds more that she HAS to apply to, then maybe it’s time to whip out a plate of brownies or a bouquet of flowers to go with the next request!

As long as one of the schools already applied to is a safety then Longhaul is right - whenever the GC gives up or the funding for applications.

Maybe ask the GC if she (or the school) has a limit on requests. Then, let your D manage her interests according to the limit. If there’s no limit then you have nothing to worry about.
