<p>Very much so. I was definitely a not-so-spectacular candidate statistically but when it came to ECs mine differed from what most people have. Not to mention I barely did volunteer work. Cornell really does look for passion.</p>
<p>Wow, I just got my rejection letter in the mail. It still really stings, like re-living the experience all over again... Looks like I'm not quite over it yet. But I will try other schools, because from where I am right now, things couldn't possibly get worse anyway.</p>
