Kadya's Thread for all UCI Q's

84Bruin:
regarding your question about writing, it doesnt matter which quarter that he takes it in. either fall/winter/spring, they are all the same level of difficulty and the same amount of classes offered. Summer might make it a bit rushed since there are 4 papers due in a 6 week time period, but it takes out a lot of the lag time that you waste in the class as it is. the difficulty of the class largely depends on the TA that you have, and that is simply just luck, but no quarter is easier than any other one.

Alumni that are international students are eligible for scholarships just as well as people who live in california or the US. The criteria for each scholarship will be listed, and if it is specific to only California or US residents it will say so, however if not, i would try and apply since you do not have anything to lose. Regarding the FAFSA, i dont know how you would fill that out since if you are an international student and not a US resident, you would not have a Social Security number or taxes to fill out. So i am not sure as to how you would go about that, although i will not discount the fact that there might a way to file one being an international student. If you have any more questions about this issue, please post
