it comes as no surprise to me that bush would deal with the hurricane as he did. it comes down to this: if bush (or other republicans) do not see a possible vote in one of those poor victims that to him the person basically does not exist. think way back to the 2000 election, even the 2004 election blacks, most notably in florida, were disenfranchised because well, they were black. if youre poor and black don't count on bush or any of his republican friends for a thing.

coqui, your comments as of late have been so incoherent and ignorant, that I have decided to put you on my ignore list.

I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING

^^ LOL, you're the same guy who tried to "proove" that Snoop Dogg is racist :D

Leave it to people this stupid to turn a natural disaster in a racial riot.

F&#@ing morons. Thousands are dead, and all people can do is whine over how it's discrimination.

It's not that, unluckycharms. If you read the other posts you would have noticed that we were sympathizing with the refugees. We're not making this into a black-and-white thing as it seems we are. After all, The refugees are recieving help. We haven't lost the big picture. First and formost, this is a crisis and people here are treating it as that. It's not about discrimination. It's about the victims.

What people are ranting about is the poor reaction from the federal government. For a while, it seemed as if they haven't been doing anything significant to further the relief. I'm not trying to negate their efforts, but, until recenctly, given the size of this catastrophe they haven't done as much as they could have. Were are simply asking why? As politicians scramble to throw in a decent response to this question, a lot of people are wondering the validity of those reasons. The US government has always been responsive when other countries were in trouble. One theory is that the people down there are mostly black. As most know, people of color, not just black people, are usually disenfranchised and the government tends to be slower to respond to those without a powerful political voice. We're not declaring this into a racial conflict.

We have not forgotten about the bigger picture. This is a monstrosity. Unfortunately, sometimes race and other things are subconsciously factored into these things. We're not saying this is what is happing because it could very well be not. But, there have been evidence that race is factored into public perception and government response in a lot of situations. However, in a situation, like this, if this even were the case, it's a minor issue because, as I said before, the monstrosity of the devestation is too shatering to let subtle predjudices get in the way. It is, after all, a disaster and no one is that inhumane to neglect the needs of victims.

I hope I've cleared up some of the misjudgements, unlucky. Again, this is unfortunate situation.

I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING

haha. means a lot coming from the idiot who who started all those pointless threads. poor rick f doesn't understand what i'm saying. he really hasn't contributed anything to the discussion, probably to complicated for him to comprehend.

Everybody here has said hes an *******.

I boubtr he has spoken the truth, almost everything is a Lie.

Kanye said how he felt. I give him props for going through and saying it.

so would you give every idiot that said something stupid on tv props just for doing it?

Kanye isnt an idiot. he spoke the truth. Bush is the idiot.
