Soooo basically, I'm really confused. When I took the SATs in May, I got 670 m. I had only used PR to prep for that test, and my scores were usually in the range of 670-720.

My brother, however, used only Kaplan (he's 2 yrs. older than me, so not a big difference in the time we took the tests) and got a 760 m. I'm retaking the test in October and, thinking that maybe PR just wasn't very good prep, decided to try using Kaplan.

In Kaplan, I get 740-760. Yet I just retook a PR test and got my same old 650-700ish. While my PR scores are more in line with what I actually got on the test, I didn't think that the questions in the PR book were really similar to the questions on the test.

I know the CB book is pretty much accepted to be the best indicator, but I think my mom sees both Kaplan and PR as reputable test companies and doesn't want to splurge on the CB book too, given that my brother used only Kaplan and did fine.

Does anyone know which is more like the actual test, Kaplan or PR? I'm not sure if Kaplan is too easy or PR is too hard... and I'm not sure on which I should be focusing my time.

Thanks!
