Hi guys! just a quick one: I'm going to UK to further my study. Which university has a better rep in US? King's College London or Manchester University? How does KCL compare with LSE, IC and UCL?

If you want someone other than myself to answer this question I recommend that you try posting at www.**************.co.uk

There are a few Americans that frequent those boards that may be able to help you.

oops. It's (the student room .co .uk)

Well, TSR seems the collection of British people's brain, but i'd rather know the rep in US people's mind...

I don't think KCL is as good as ICL, UCL or LSE.. but quite popular nonetheless IMO compared to Manchester (from my experience in CC)

If you are planning to use the degree to get a job in the US, probably no one will know if there is any difference between the two universities because no one will have ever heard of either of them. If you are planning to use the degree to get into a graduate program in the US, then it will only matter if one or the other has traditionally sent more graduates to the specific grad program you are looking at, or if the professors at one or the other have some pal(s) at the grad program(s) that you are looking at.

what do you plan on studying? I believe KCL has one of the best law programs in the UK

forgot to say...im going to studying mgt...

KCL is renowned I think mainly for its courses in law and medicine.

It's an excellent university, perhaps not as prestigious as IC, UCL and LSE, but definitely ranking high up there.

that was abit too blunt you mofo

manchester does have a beautiful campus though, one thing i dislike about UOL colleges is them not having proper campuses
