<p>When a potential employer tells you that he or she would be "delighted to keep in touch", what exactly does that entail Frequent emails, calls, etc.? </p>

<p>A good way I like to use “keep in touch” is if I see a job in your employers company in the future, I would email the employer and say, </p>
<p>I just saw a posting for _<strong><em>. Would you be able to introduce me to the </em></strong> manager?</p>
<p>Unless you know the employer personally, I wouldn’t be casual about emailing and calling.</p>
