Keeping my scholarship!

Hi there,

I recently was accepted to Tulane University and received the Founders Scholar Award. My ACT scores weren’t particularly high so I know it was mostly my class performance that helped me get the scholarship.

I’m soon ending my first semester of senior year and the problem is I think I will be getting my first “B” in a class. It’s IB HL Math and I’ve been struggling a lot more with the class this semester. My grade in math has always either been an A- or A but I’m almost sure I’m going to get a B+ (maybe even a B) this time around in math. I’m really worried that this will cost me my scholarship. Do you think this is something I should worry about or will it not particularly matter when I send in my mid-year transcript to Tulane?

Doubtful if a B+ will be an issue. Now if you were to get a D that would be a problem. Is there any indication in your award letter as to what your senior grades must be?

Just requirements for when I get into college–the only thing it said for high school is that “most recipients are within the 10% of their graduating class”
