will the LLC be full of nerds who dont party or will you people party with me? i cant decide if i want to do the whole LLC thing or not...

I don't think it will be all nerds....but I don't think they are going to be partying as much. I would not look at the Kelly living learing if you were looking for partying.

You are going to get more students who study.

It is McNutt. If your floor doesn't party (but it probably will), just go up or down 1 flight of stairs.

heavily considering LLC...planning to party...its all about balance though...work like a dog in the week and have fun during part of the weekend...life will be good, maybe not easy, but good!

like I said in another thread...it's McNutt, you WILL party, just BALANCE work and play, cause the b-school will get to you if you don't keep up. Also, if you do like to party and your floor is an anomaly, go up 1 flight up or down as max said, you'll find something.

JaradW, I strictly follow that lifestyle you mention. During the week, I work extremely hard and do well in my classes. During the weekends, I go pretty nuts. It works for me, but it's easy to get off task if you're not focused. I never lived in McNutt, but bear in mind you don't have to live there if you want to go party. In fact, I would recommend not living there so that you can focus on your studies. Then once you've hit the books, you can go there to "party" or even go to a real party in a house...

thanks for the tip there violinguy1234... i find the majority of my friends who are in college (and doing well) who are not complete nerds find this lifestyle most fitting...Im all about the Kelley LLC in McNutt tho, so worst comes to worst, i go to the library i suppose

Yeah. I mean I do all my studying there. My routine is generally: Mon-Thur class 930-6, lib 7-12. Fridays I leave open for those play hard days. Weekends are less strict... You'll find that there are some really smart kids who like to have a good time...but they are vastly out numbered by umm..."not so bright kids."

The LLC isn't going to be the same as the group that lives there this year. Kelley's staff and professors will play a much greater role, so if you want to party hard, the LLC probably isn't such a good choice. You don't want to jeopardize your future by embarassing yourself (like showing up drunk to a function) or getting into trouble within earshot of a staff member or professor. Lots of students in McNutt had serious problems this year, and many didn't get accepted to Kelley when they applied (it's a mix of direct admits and pre-business). The LLC will be a more serious academic community, with some social activities of course, but there just won't be as many options to party all the time. And to be honest, I'm sure Kelley wouldn't want you in the LLC if you're not a serious student.

I have heard the same message from Kelly LLC, this is not a party place to be. Apply and live only if you are serious about the academics.......
