I know that Kelley has a set test score (30 ACT) and set GPA (3.7) on their website and I was wondering how that works exactly. If I meet those credentials, am I guaranteed direct admission to the Kelley School or does that just place me into a competitive review process? Thanks.
You are automatically guaranteed admission.
If you meet both, you are in.
Will Kelly take a weighted GPA? Our HS only reports weighted on the transcript. Son has a 4.15w and 34 ACT so assume that will meet the criteria but not sure about the GPA w or uw. Was accepted to IU on 1/9, waiting to hear from Kelley. Thanks if anyone knows the answer.
Yes, Kelley will take a weighted GPA - they will convert it to the IU 4.0 scale (if your HS doesn’t operate on a 4.0 scale).
Thank you @scrabblemomb - my son received his direct admit email from Kelley today, he is very excited! Response came less than two weeks after IU acceptance. Just wish we would have applied earlier before the 11/1 deadline to have a chance at merit dollars (we are OOS) but still happy to have the Kelley option.
Not exactly a guaranteed admission, if you messed up your GPA the first two years, they won’t let you get into Kelley.
@Normwal. The question was about direct admission. You might be referring to a Standard admit where you must qualify. However, there is ongoing criteria that must be met as well after direct admission.
@Goodkidsdad. Actually I am referring to the direct admit. I know few kids who came to IU because they got direct admission from Kelley, but due to their poor performance, Kelly didn’t offer spots for them after their sophomore year.
