BHAhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Yes, feeling that ^^^. Best wishes to you all!
If my i have a strong ACT and my interview went phenomenally (she said it was the best interview she’d ever done) but my gpa is below average do you think i still have a chance? i know this isn’t what this tab is for but i’m freaking out.
@BigMoose I get the feeling that Kenyon reads applications pretty holistically. What program are you applying to? Some are more competitive than others (ex: English). Good luck!
@BigMoose It’s my understanding that Kenyon places a lot of emphasis on demonstrated interest, so as long as they know that you’re seriously interested in their school, and as long as you show your strengths in other areas (like your test scores and interview), then I think they could overlook a lower gpa. We’ll find out soon enough! Best of luck to you!
A guy at my school said that he got a likely letter, although he is a notorious liar so idk…
Does kenyon do likelies??
and @BigMoose, I am in the same boat
I’m confused. Are they posting acceptances tomorrow or are they sending letters?
are we supposed to be notified by march 20th or are the packets mailed out on march 20th?
it will be on the portal at 6 pm EST. I suspect that the acceptance letters will be available on Saturday or Monday.
the day of reckoning is upon us.
The following is a bit of a mess, but this confirms that Kenyon emails are coming out today!

Decision posted. My D was waitlisted. Nice compliment but not very useful!! Good luck everybody!!
I was also wait listed. Last year 1,077 were offered wait list positions, 366 students accepted their wait list position, and of that 6 were admitted.
Waitlisted here.
Accepted with a scholarship!!!
6? Wow. Where did you get those stats? Is everyone waitlisted??
Accepted with a 25k Honors Scholarship!
Seems like they wait list a disproportionate amount compared to most schools, not sure why. It seems like a bit of a strange system giving students some sense of false hope. I got the stats here: http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=810
If you scroll to the bottom of the page you can see it’s from a 2014 survey.
So this is my family’s time going thru this process but I’m confused. How could anyone go for the waitlist? No waitlist decisions till after May 1, the deadline for accepting other college offers. Who could let those deadlines pass?
So did those of you who got in get the “thumbs up” email?
@Joan2021 Basically what you would do is accept a place on the wait list, and still decide on another school and send in a deposit. If you get in off the wait list you forfeit your deposit at the other school. Does that make sense?
