Kenyon Craze?

I understand that Kenyon is a great LAC with a very nice campus but do you think they'll be getting more applications because of John Green? Do you think that many people will be applying there because of him and that it'll start making the college more popular because of it?

The admissions rep told us that applications were up more than 60% this past year.

I’m not too surprised.

Applications increased because they dropped the “Why Kenyon” supplement – according to the rep at our info session.

Yep, applications are at an all time high:

My kids have known about John Green for a few years, but I suppose the upcoming movie of The Fault in Our Stars could cause a jump. It is a truly lovely campus – IMHO that is how a college campus should look. And they know it, the marketing materials definitely flaunt it. :)

I know Kenyon was well known for being able to find that great Kenyon fit but since they’ve dropped the “Why Kenyon” supplement do you all think it’ll be more difficult for them to find that right “fit”?
