Kenyon Review Young Writers 2011?

Anyone accepted and going? I'll be there for session II! :)

I was accepted and am very excited to attend! Someone should make a facebook group!

I know – I am so excited! I’ll make a group later today, I’ll post the link in this thread!

Accepted for Session II as well  I’m just waiting to hear from Iowa to decide

I’m in the exact same boat as you, Sesquipedalians. Good luck! Does anybody know how Kenyon and Iowa compare? Do most people have a preference toward one or the other, or are they approximately the same program?

As far as I know, Iowa is a teeny bit better, but they’re comparable. Between the two, I would choose Iowa, but I think it’s also a bit more selective. I’m still ecstatic to have been admitted at Kenyon though! Good luck to you too!

Good luck to you both!

Apparently, Facebook won’t let you make a group unless you have a friend to invite… so I haven’t made one yet… eventually, one will appear, though! :)

Okay, so I’ll be going to Kenyon AND Iowa, because the times are compatible! I can’t wait for this summer!

Hello… my daughter was accepted in Kenyon Session 2 and Juniper with partial scholarships. She was rejected by Iowa. How much better is Iowa? Which is better, Juniper or Kenyon? I would appreciate some feedback :)

@jolisha, I think they’re all pretty comparable. Apparently Iowa is a little bit better than the others, but they’re still comparable. Doing a bit of light research, I think Kenyon is slightly better than Juniper, but again, not by a lot.

There is now officially a facebook group! Come join it - it is closed, so you’ll have to request to join, but just lemme know which session you’re going to attend and I’ll let you in! :D

Thank you, Lake Effect Kid, for the advice. My daughter has joined the Facebook group. It’s a long way from home so it’s wonderful she gets the chance to get to know you, before she lands in the US :)

Oh, turns out I’m Session I
I joined the FB group!

Awesome!! If you know anyone else who’s registered, spread the word! :D
