i'm assuming that when it comes time for those april decision letters to be mailed out, students will either be accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. are waitlisted students seperated from those that are just flat-out rejected? also, when it comes to waitlists, i hear people being notified about whether they got off the waitlist. but since you've already sent an admissions deposit in to another college, do u just tell that school that you're not coming and then go to the school you got off the waitlist for?

Yes being waitlisted is different than being rejected. You can still get in off a waitlist. It just depends how many accepted students decide to deposit at the school. And yes if you get waitlisted you still have to put a deposit down at another school. If you get off the waitlist at another school you can either go to the school you already put the deposit down for or you can go to the school that took you off the waitlist. The other school will not give you your deposit money back though
