I’m an out of state student from New Jersey and after further reviewing I realized I have a CSU/UC gpa of 3.46. Also, I have SAT scores of 1070 out of 1600 and 1680 out of 2400. I will be retaking it sometime later this year and was hoping they would superscore my scores. (Do SDSU and CSULB superscore?) What are my chances of getting into their kinesiology progrograms as I know they are impacted. Thank you.
Kinesiology is very competitive at the CSU’s so based on your SAT and CSU/UC GPA, your eligiblity index is 3838. For CSULB, you need to be around 3900+ and SDSU around 4100+ for a good chance at an acceptance.
EI= (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR). You might want to consider CSU Fullerton which has a very good Kinesio program. You are aware that as an OOS applicant, you will get little to no FA, so basically you would be paying around $30-35K/year to attend. The Cal States do superscore. Good Luck.
Here is a list of impacted majors for each CSU.
