Hey everyone, I was assigned to English house this year and had some questions. I know it has some of the best facilities on campus, but I heard it's easy to become antisocial and isolated, especially from kids living in other dorms. Is this true? How would you characterize life in general there? Is the overall "freshman experience" hindered if you live in KCEH?

Bump, also curious

Did you guys by chance join the Kings Court facebook group?

I joined the Kings court english 2016 group

Bump. .

Hey everyone!

I’m going to be a Penn sophomore and although I didn’t live in Kings Court freshmen year, I had many friends who did. All of my friends had amazing experiences there and were more than willing to live there again for their sophomore years. My general impression was that Kings Court was fairly social and every time I visited, there were always a decent amount of people socializing in the lounge. Also, they have events such as catered brunches and Secret Santas, which also allow people to get to know their hall mates. Overall, I would say that Kings Court is a very good living choice for freshmen-it is fairly social (but not overly so, if you know what I mean) and the living conditions are an upgrade from those of the quad or hill

I lived there and I in no way, shape, or form thought my hallmates were antisocial. We were anything but! We would go out to dinner or parties together, sit out in the lounge doing our homework, and have continued to tweet at each other all throughout the summer. Honestly, I am so, so happy I picked KC. Closest to all the math and sciency stuff, but a million times nicer to live in than Hill.

You might’ve seen me (and pictures of my room) around on the 2016 KC group.
