earlinasia, if you are still looking, you might be able to get into the BUTI Tanglewood saxophone workshop, which runs the last two weeks in June. You should e-mail the teacher directly to get in however since the deadline has past. Excellent program for lessons, studying the literature, performing at recitals.

woodwinds, note that Tb4adu revived a thread from 4 years ago…

@Tb4adu, I realize it’s a little late, but Village Harmony runs several programs, including those for younger campers, in case it hasn’t already crossed your radar. It is a choral camp that does a lot of community outreach (free concerts and such) as part of its mission. I know several young vocalists who attended and said it was transformational. If you didn’t find it this year, I suggest getting an earlier start for 2015, and checking it out.

@Tb4adu - I may be too late as well but you could consider this for next summer: Ithaca College in upstate NY has an awesome Summer Music Academy in July each year. They have a vocal track and offer a 1-wk intermediate division and a 2-wk high school division. I can’t say enough great things about how well it is run, the high caliber of instruction, and just how awesome an experience it was for the kids). My daughter attended for the past two summers (vocal track, high school division).
