Know anything about BioCalculus?

Has anyone taken Math 241, which is Math 231 (calculus) with "Biological Connections"? I'm majoring in biology but have already registered for the regular Math 231 and wondered if it's worth the hassle to try to get in the BioCalculus class.

I'm taking it!

That's about all I know...

I checked the class status of both 241 sections, and each has only 3 or 4 students. I'm reluctant to go through the trouble of dropping 231 in August and adding 241 only to have it not make because of lack of students. What's the least number of students a class needs in order to make at UNC?

there isn't a set number that the class needs in order to meet.

i found the page for the class last year.
BioCalculus @ UNC : Home Page browse

i wonder if i can take it as a freshman having already taken math231 in high school..

you can register for both maybe then talk to the professor after the first class....drop the one you don't want. Sometimes the computer won't let you register for two classes, my suggestion if that happens is to go to the bioscience and talk to the prof before adding it....

plasticat, do you mean you have credit for math 231? Because my advisor at ctops told me I would just have to drop my AP credit for math 231 after move in in order to take 241. I had no problems registering for it at ctops.
