Known a teacher for 2 1/2 months.

I've only known a teacher for 2.5 months (this year's psychology teacher)

he thinks i'm very intelligent and has great confidence in me and thinks i work hard, maybe one of the best in his classes

he and i respect each other and well u know, get along

is it "Recommended" by you CCers to ask this teacher for a recommendation letter?

i have the same question here. but mine has an added twist to it; he doesn't teach in my school.

yeah same question

Better a senior year teacher than a freshman year teacher you have known for a while. They want to see that you are an enthusiastic and intelligent student now, not years ago. They can't expect you to have known your senior year teachers for extensive periods of time.

Yea, I really need a senior teacher to write one of my recs, because all of the other teachers I either don't know at all or they just don't like me. Actually, I hae 2 teachers that are still at the school that liked me, but both are history teachers, and I plan to major in some kind of mat/science...

So, is 2 or so months enough time to get to know my physics AP teacher for a rec?

Yeah... I really want to be able to be able to use my senior year teachers as recs too... since my senior year I'm taking mostly AP classes, I feel I've got my most qualified round of teachers as well as the fact that they seem to extremely like me....

he doesnt really know me, and my life, and friends and stuff either

he just knows that i have Potential and I work hard and thinks i'm smart (no, i'm not smart)
and knows that i do some activities

i've asked an officer this question, and am waiting for his reply. when he does i'll let you guys know.

My son used 1 senior year AP teacher and one from junior year. Most of his junior year teachers left by his senior year, our school district does not pay enough to keep their good teachers, but that is another thread. He did not have a lot of choice but it served him well and he got in to all but one college.
