so sad. way too young

Tragic.

What a loss!! Shocking news for basketball fans.

Just adding my, “Oh, no.”
:frowning:

So many unconfirmed rumors flying around such as his daughters may have been on board or Rick Fox. Where do all these rumors start? So sad

Shocking

Yes shocked. Saw it on Facebook, googled several news sites, showed my husband who did the same. Here now, sad

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-01-26/aircraft-slams-into-hillside-explodes-in-flames-near-calabasas. This is so horrible. He was one of 5 killed. So tragic. He was only 41. And one of his records had just been surpassed by LeBron James yesterday…

How very sad. His youngest daughter was born last June. So sad for his family and all of sports.

Just awful. He is so young, his kids so young. Just tragic. :frowning:

I know this is odd thing to ask at this time of tragedy. I wasn’t following him much. Was he still playing?

He retired in 2016 I believe. So sad. He was one of basketball’s greatest. The helicopter apparently hit a hillside, 5 people lost their lives. Sad. I did not believe when my husband told me about the crash. Now it is all over the news.

Very sad, great player. Top 4 or 5 players to ever wear Lakers jersey behind Wilt, Magic, Jabbar, West.

Multiple sources reporting his second daughter, Gigi, was also killed.

It was very foggy at the time of the crash.

Oh no. :frowning:

I’m in shock. I wasn’t a Lakers fan, but there was no denying his talent. How doubly sad that his 13yo daughter also died.

Gigi (Gianna) was 13.

His 13 year old daughter was also killed. My heart goes out to all their families.

Very sorry to hear this was not a rumor (regarding his daughter). Wow, such a tragedy.
