I know johnson's the best chem teacher but her class doesn't fit into my schedule. has anyone taken kummel? how does he compare, does he give out extra credit, and does he use the clicker?

for chem 6b, johnson, kummel, and crowell are all at the head of the pack. kummel has the most entertaining lectures, crowell grades the easiest, but johnson's the all-around coolest. you won't go wrong with any of them. i took crowell and it was a piece of cake, but i used to attend kummel's lectures because it was easier to stay awake.

fyi - kummel doesn't believe in websites. but he does give you practice exams aplenty, as does crowell. both of them host review sessions that are just like the real exams, but johnson has her TAs do it.

you went to kummel's lectures instead of crowell's or did you go to both? do all the chem teachers go at the same pace?

they more or less move at the same pace ... you'd have to, if you had to cover the same topics in the same amount of time!

went to crowell's lectures to gossip with my suitemates and catch up on HUM reading for the next hour .... went to kummel's lectures to actually learn some chemistry.
