Lab Manuals

Do the chem labs give you lab manuals, or do you need to buy them?

The manual that has experimental procedures are given to you free on the first day of lab. (And also available for free as a PDF download from the chem department website)

The lab notebook (that you write your prelab in, and data in) you have to purchase from the bookstore.

Goggles are given to you free during the first day of chem 2a. All other chem courses you are expected to bring you own, so just don't loose the free pair you get.

I had to buy the lab manuals for all CHE2A-C from the bookstore (or get them from the website).

You had to pay for the manual? That means your TAs were lazy bums. They print enough copies for everyone and keep them in a locked room for TA's to pick up enough for their students on the first day of lab. I TAed gen chem last year, that's the way it's been for years!

I had to buy mine for CHEM 2B, too :(

I had to buy them for chem 2 b/c, but in chem 2a our TA gave them to us.
