Also, is #2 the OWL that FA 08 used?

oh and:

is it worth visiting several 3rd party sites (couldnt dind anything for this instructor on Uloop anyway)...also, where do we buy the lab notebook?

is the package the way to go?how was buyback for chem 1a this past semester?

buyback for last semester was a rip off. We had different textbooks from last semester, but the best buyback deal (besides internet) was neds which gave us $60 for our textbook :( DONT buy carbon copy lab notebooks because for fall 2008 we only used like <10% of the notebook. My best advice is to find somebody who has taken Chem 1A and ask for their lab notebook since it will probably be very empty.

thanks calbear, thats what i had guessed about the notebooks. only $60 back??sheesh.
what do you think about the package deal? is it worth it?

The chemistry people always pick books written or partially written by UC faculty. The student store gets subsidized prices for books written by UC faculty, meaning they are a lot cheaper than online or at non-UCs.

Best thing to do is to buy the bundle available in the student store and then eBay the books after the semester is over.

You should buy from me. pm me yo

i think i'll just look into the bundle then, easier for me too :)

SRK: i couldnt buy from you b/c arent stacy's books differnt from nitsches anyway?

waiting 4 college...were in the same class! lol
i was wondering how much is the carbon copy notebook originally...because i know someone who is selling it for $8...but i wasnt sure if that was a bargain or not

i have no idea how much it costs in the student store as for ned's it just says "recommended" but does not list an actual price so i dont know about the 8 dollars...i am thinking it would be cheapest to do what calbear2012 said and just use someones old notebook if they will give it to you for free and just rip out the old pages..

I forgot the exact price I paid for it but it was definitely over 15 bucks... I only used about 15 pages of it too... What a waste :(

for your last question, I'm guessing it's not the same as OWL. I remember last semester when we were purchasing all of this pricey junk that the item was called OWLAccess or something

last sem i put all my books on reserve at neds and went to the store and bought them there.... i ended up finding a better deal on some of the used items at the student bookstore and just returned the neds books later. thats what i suggest... and selling back... i didnt sell it back because i didnt have time . i was just going to put some fliers up to offer selling my stuff cheaper than the bookstore....

i'm willing to sell my iclicker for 20 dollars if anyone is interested

I have 4) through 8) as numbered in OP's post. send me a message if you need any or all of them.
