LAC Chances

Can anyone chance me for some of these private/lac colleges? I don't think I'm the exceptional student and my chances are slim but I'd like a confirmation from others to decide what the rest of my course of study would be until transfering.
If there is anything you can rec. to improve my chances please do advise! dont be shy!

Transferring in as a Junior. I'm a CC right now! I'll have about 70 units by spring 2012!
Schools

Schools:
Pitzer College
Claremont Mckenna College
Panoma College
Scripps College
Columbia
Monterey Institute (BA/MA Program)

GPA: 3.53 currently; 3.6ish by end of fall 2011 (NO C's! ..somewhat frequent B's)

Major:International Relations, Organizational Studies; anything relating with human rights

Pre-Req's/IGETC: 1/2 way done; will be finished by all by spring 2012 before transferring

E/C: Currently volunteer at a women's shelter, museum and intl ngo for women (planning to take on a internship this fall relating to my major hopefully!)

Other: leadership program in Nicaragua 2009 as a junior in h/s; 2011 Summer went Thailand for a reality tour on human trafficking

Work: I did do a year of work during my senior year of high school at an after school program
Clubs: none in college, still debating on AGS (also had a bunch in high school: Hawaiian, Korean, Havea<3, New Global Citizens etc)

First Generation Student
Dean's List

SAT? HS GPA? Your CC GPA is kinda low

AHH! I dont have SAT’s and some schools dont require it particularly. My high school gpa sucked average was probably around 3.0. My gpa is low I know :/

Even though colleges dont require it, you should still take the SAT and/or ACT

I agree with SeattleBulldog that you should retake your SAT/ACT. In terms of difficulty I found that the two standardized tests were similar, except the ACT was much easier to study for and improve on! I’m also a first generation college student, but to be honest, I don’t think it’s so much a deciding factor. It doesn’t count as much as being a legacy or an underrepresented minority. Claremont, Pomona, and Columbia are all going to be real reaches with your GPA.
