I find myself liking universities that focus more on the their undergrads, rather than liking definitely either LACs or universities. What schools can fit this category? (Besides Dartmouth and Princeton)

Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Tufts, Brandeis...
I agree, they are the best schools! :)

As an undergrad at MIT, I always felt very focused-on, although I think it's more accurate to say that MIT treats undergrads like grad students (in terms of available research opportunities/responsibilities, professor attention, and coursework) rather than that it's focused on undergrads per se.

Emory is a LAC at a larger university setting. U of Rochester is the same way too.

William and Mary....for sure

Rice University!!!

And I'll reiterate URochester and all the other ones mentioned so far.

Brown? 10 char

Definitely Brown.

Duke and Vanderbilt.

I'd also add: URochester, Lehigh, UPacific, Clark, USan Diego, UVermont, UNew Hampshire, UMiami, James Madison, Tufts, Mary Washington, Texas Christian, Pepperdine, Howard, UDenver, SUNY-Geneseo, SUNY-Stony Brook, USan Francisco...

Duke and Dartmouth.

holy crap isleboy, you know so much about colleges it's scary.

LOL...

I've just been listening to my parents, older friends, peers, GC, relative who've been through it, and people who work in admissions for as long as I can remember...

I took a gap year, so instead of one cycle, I've been through two.

I feel like I'm fifty. :)

BTW--I've also had older friends who have posted here on CC, when they were going through it, so it was interesting to watch. Needless to say, because of them, my stance on many college issues have changed or modified.

Colgate would be one

Brown - a freshman I know has been offered paid undergrad research, as a freshman, based on her essay in an intro course!

Colgate is a lac, isn't it??

yes sir. The toothpaste and the LAC

What i meant to say was: "colgate already is a lac."

U of Arizona, SUNY UB

How about WUSTL?
