LAC is the Way to go.

Over the weekend I talked to a friend of mine and a few of his friends that had graduated from Michigan's b-school. I'd tell you more about the conversation, but that's not of interest.

The point they got across to me was that your better off going to a LAC undergraduate and then going on to a MBA at a later time. They were telling me that you should major in something like Economics, Math, Computer Science, or English. Learn how to write, learn how to communicate. I was also told that if I go to college for u-grad business, I'll probably just get stuck some where in middle management.

I'm interested in Wabash and was amazed to see the percentage of students that go on to work in the executive level in business. I hear it's also high for other schools, Welsey being one.

What do you think about going undergraduate at a LAC then MBA? Is it the way to go?

99% of people with degrees of any kind are in middle mgt. Getting to the top goes well beyond the degree to many other factors most of which are not really taught--leadership, cunning, people skills, luck, looks, etc. Even Bill Gates is still looking for his second great idea.
