<p>Does anyone where I could get more information on rankings of the Honor's programs offered by Universities across the nation? Someone told me the Sally Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi was in the top 10 ranked programs in the country. How can I confirm this?

<p>There is no doubt that the University of Mississippi Honors College is quite good. With that said, there are numerous excellent honors colleges at both state and private universities. Take a look at the website of the honors college or programs at any state flagship university and you will likely be impressed (such as Penn State, University of Georgia, University of Alabama, Arizona State, Indiana University, University of Maryland - College Park, University of South Carolina, University of Oklahoma and numerous others). You will also find that the scholarships and special programs for honors students can be quite enticing and varied. The entrance requirements will also vary considerably. Some are by invitation only. Others have their own admissions applications separate from the university and encourage a variety of applicants (such as Texas Tech). It will take some digging through honors program websites to see which ones look interesting, but it is well worth it. Again, there are published rankings of honors programs and colleges.</p>
