<p>I haven't been able to join clubs at school due to a lack of transportation. I'm in my Junior year and I'm finally getting a car next month so I can basically do whatever ECs I want to.
Right now I have 4 ECs, which aren't very strong and 1 I will be joining soon:
Key Club... already in leadership position, probably a leadership position next year too
French Club...crossing my fingers for a leadership position
School Newspaper
Habitat for Humanity....also crossing my fingers for a leadership position
Jefferson Club</p>
<p>Now that I will soon have a car, here are somethings I would like to do:
Vocal lessons/recitals/find somewhere to sing LOL maybe myspace or youtube(my school doesn't have a choir)
Write for an online entertainment blog (don't really need a car for that :P)
Start my own non-profit organization (sending school supplies and learning material to schools in a foreign country)/running school chapter of my organization.</p>
<p>This summer:
Bank of America Student Leaders Program or Economics for Leaders (if I get accepted).</p>
<p>Does my EC list look really bad? Also, is it a bad idea to add ECs now. I don't want to add ECs so that my resume will look good for college, but I've been itching to do some things for a while now and I'm finally getting the opportunity. It's been stressful not being able to do things I'm interested in and even more stressful waiting for a car, knowing it's the only way for me to be able to do anything. Hopefully my dad follows through on his promise and I get my car this month.</p>
