Lack of Work-Study jobs?

<p>Hi, </p>

<p>I’m interested in a summer position on campus. I’ve applied to several different positions so far, and have not heard back in weeks.</p>

<p>I have Work-Study for the 2014-2015 school year. (funds starts July 1, 2014).</p>

<p>There are not many work study positions. I could only see about ~10 or so.</p>

<p>What is the point of work study if the positions are so few and limited?</p>

<p>it partially funds your wages so it gives you an edge over a ‘full pay employee’.</p>

<p>On a video I saw, people seemed to like working for transit, if they have openings (the bus company, driving the bus.)</p>
