what are my chances for UF, Pepperdine, Pomona... any cool LACs... please dont just stop reading, lol, noone ever answers my "chances" things

Sorry, can't help much with your chances, but you should know that the definition of 1st generation is:
First-Generation Students: Undergraduates Whose Parents Never
Enrolled in Postsecondary Education
So, you may not qualify if your parents have any college education. That said, being a Hispanic male applying to LAC's will help, particularly those that are actively recruiting URM's. Your rank, grades and courses look fine, have you considered taking the SAT again (what is your 2400 scale score?), or perhaps the ACT; and what about SAT II's?

Do you qualify for the National Hispanic Recognition Program (based on PSAT) or Venture Scholar? Both of these programs will help get your name out to schools, and the NHRP can qualify you for merit scholarships at some schools.

im definetly taking SAT2 spanish ( i took ap spanish this year).. but idk what other sat2 to take, i took apush, but im not too sure on how i did (i know i either got a 3 or 4, but my essays compensating for a little over half of the MC questions coorect) no NHRP for me... im def taking the SATs again in fall of '06... i aiming for somewhere between 1300-1350ish...

How about Math 2? You would have to go back and review as it covers things through precalc. Do I understand you right that you're shooting for a 1300-1350 on the M & CR parts of the SAT? How do you think you'll do on the writing section? At this point, that seems like your weakest point academically, and one that can be addressed if you have the time and inclination to study this summer.

Beyond numbers, concentrate on your essays as that will be a part that LAC's will be looking at seriously to determine who you are inside. Try to wrap your EC's and academic interests into a coherent package......perhaps the influence of your Latino background on your interests in politics or law?

Good luck!

i suggest someone reply to my bulletin... or else ill cry myself to sleep tonight from lack of attention... sigh... i so lack attention... (aka... BUMP!!!!)

does anybody know the trick to get replies? :(
