Rejected! I thought I’d get a waitlist because I actually had a really good interview. 4.2 weighted GPA but not so good unweighted, 10 AP classes, 2110 SAT, 0EFC I know it was really competitive this year and every one should be proud who got in. That said I’m feeling I wasted my time with need aware schools. I was 4/5 at need blind schools and 0/13 at need aware so far. I feel very fortunate for the ones I got into but there’s so many schools with worse or comparable stats next to the schools that accepted me.
Is there any international applicant here who hasn’t received the decision via email ?
Because I haven’t …
Waitlisted, but I just got accepted to Wesleyan which I’m very very excited about. Good luck everyone who hasn’t received their letters! I hope you get the news you’re looking for!
still haven’t gotten the email either … it’sbeen a day and a half since most people did. Worried.
It’s Saturday now… I doubt they will send an email out on the weekend.
Just got my letter today in Portland, Oregon. Accepted
3.5 gpa, lots of AP classes, 32 ACT, lots of extracurriculars including robotics and boy scouts
OMG.
Accepted.
do they send you decisions by email or do they mail you the letter
Snail mail for Americans. Same for internationals, but also email.
Is the facebook group for enrolled students only?
any international received the snail mail yet?
Am I the only US student to not receive a decision letter?.
You definitely should have received something by now. Call admissions.
Hi - I’m an international student. I got into Lafayette, and it’s definitely one of my top choices. But, I’ve heard from a lot of people that Lafayette is a very-rural campus. Is that so?
I mean, I know it is a non-urban campus, and I definitely do NOT want an urban, city campus. I’m looking for a reasonably semi-urban campus. But a friend described Lafayette as being situated in the back of beyond. Would any of you know if that’s true?
My decision’s not really a campus-based decision, but it is definitely a strong factor.
Thanks!
Well, it’s not really suburban if that is what you are shooting for.
The campus sits above Easton, which is a pretty small town. It has restaurants and shops but nothing really that is a “chain” store. And there is a small area next to campus with a Wawa (Like a gas station but with actual hot food and a wide selection of cold foods and drinks) and a few pizza/sandwich type places to eat, barber shop…stuff like that.
There are suburbs within 15 minutes drive of campus and the school offers a bus to students. My son and his girlfriend take the bus from time to time on the weekend and go eat or do some shopping. That is where you have access to chain stores and restaurants (think Target, Walmart, McDonald’s, Outback, etc, etc).
