I just finished my first semester of my junior year. As of right now, I currently have two language credits (Latin) in high school. I know that UNC-CH requires two credits, but how many language credits are recommended? I have heard many answers regarding this question and am wondering if any of you could possibly assist me in finding out. Also, does UNC care if any additional (not required) language credits are in a different language other than Latin? Thanks!
I think three language credits are recommended.
I don’t think it matters too much if you start a brand new language. But, if you want to study a different language in college, starting a new language now might get you a higher score on the language placement exam, which will put you into a higher level foreign language class. : )
Good luck!
