Language placement test

does anyone know what we can expect when we take the language placement exam? are they all multiple choice?

thanks!

if you're trying to place out of the language requirement, a better option may be to take the SATII. You just need a 650 or better, and there is still time to register for the June 3 test.

I'm doing it in French...it's kind of funny thinking of graduating HS seniors still taking their SATs.

The online ones? Those are all multiple choice. I can't remember how many. I feel as though the spanish was shorter than the french but I know more french and did better on that one so I was more confortable with it.......MOstly it's just a question and you have to pick the right choice like it might have a fill in the blank or do a translation. It's pretty grammar focused, I think. There were some unfamiliar vocabulary but I was still able to figure out the answers. And if you take the online placement and don't think that you did as well as you could have, you can take it again once at Penn.
