Language Placement

http://www.college.upenn.edu/curriculum/language_exams.html#y

I did not take a language SAT II as a part of my Penn application, but if i decide to take one now, can I still place out given that I score within the range of scores they accept?

Thanks!

Take your exam before you show up on campus. It is a departmental thing not part of application.

okay..that's what i figured.
This is what confused me:
Students who have taken the Achievement Exam (see SAT II scores below) as part of their application to Penn may use that score to register for the proper level.

Also, their standards are lower than i figured--650+ is exempt. Sweet.
And as far as I know, there is no Russian SAT II, right? It claims there is one. That's disturbing.

If you get accepted to Wharton or say the Nursing school do you still have to meet the language requirement or is that just for the college of arts and sciences?

Oh man, I'm so screwed. I only took two years of Spanish. I can't believe I got in, in spite of this. I'm probably going to test into basic Spanish or something. Like Kevin, I was also wondering if there was a language requirement for Wharton.

oh man...if its for wharton too ill take the sat II in june and get 650 to get out of it.

haha.

It is all right here: http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/curriculum/foreign_language.cfm

oh man thats cool, 650 will suffice for wharton.

im so taking french sat II this june.

If I get in I'm totally taking a language Sat II!

how about the language page for SEAS--if there is one?

http://www.seas.upenn.edu/ugrad/FAQ.html#cis

Good thing I took that French SAT II for Princeton.

If I get in I'm exempted, but where would a 710 SAT II in Spanish place me (I want to continue, or learn another language)? Like 200 or 300 level? Also, would they look at my IB HL score and take the better one for placement?

im so happy im exempt from french! 790! I wanna learn spanish though!!
