Hey all, just have a quick question. I took Spanish in high school for my foreign language elective, but have since forgotten it after 3 years of non-exposure. I looked at the Department website and it states that if you received an AP score of 3 on the Spanish Language test, you are obligated to start at Spanish 3. I would fail the class if I started from Spanish 3. Do you think I could start over from Spanish 1? Is there any verification system in place or something? Any ideas? Thanks!

...........no one?

I wouldn't start with Spanish 1, maybe Spanish 2. I'm starting out with Spanish 3 also. I have cousins who took French in junior high/high school for only three years and had not had exposure to it for three years and had no problem starting in intermediate French at Harvard. They said it came back to them pretty fast. Hope that helps any shrugs
