Language Requirement Policy

Does anyone know whether or not I will be exempt from the language requirement if I receive a score of 6 or 7 on the IB French Language B exam?? I checked the website regarding Language Requirement Policies and it only mentions AP exams but not IB. I don't get that because IB is just as if not more challenging than AP. I took both kinds of exams so I know.

[Penn Admissions: International Baccalaureate Policy](http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/baccalaureate.php)

It looks like you get credit but not an exemption.

hmmmmm I just got this email from this woman at the College who told me that the credit I get for French B apparently covers the language requirement so then I would be exempt from the language requirement… hmm anyone else know anything 'bout this?

Sorry to kind of steal this but I have a question o a similar topic. I passed out of the foreign language requirement with a subject test I took after admission so Penn doesn’t have my score. I called yesterday to ask if I just send it to undergraduate admissions, and they just told me to wait… Does anyone know what I should do with it?

And to all future posters, answer michelle as well.

They say that u should take a Language SAT 2. Because i am not enrolled in AP spanish, should i just take the Automatic 800 SAT 2 Chinese (this is a given, please do not question my ability to get the 800).
