So since my daughter took high school Spanish 1 then Spanish 2,3 honors then took College Spanish 1 Dual Enrollment… all of those would count towards her GPA that UF looks at for students applying as a freshmen ?

Spanish years 1 and 2 in high school and Spanish semesters 1 and 2 in college have substantial duplication (assuming level 1 in both cases is for beginners). Depending on the high school and college, completion of Spanish semester 2 in college may be equivalent to completion of Spanish year 2 or 3 in high school.
A student who completed Spanish year 2 in high school should probably place into a college Spanish course higher than semester 1, unless the high school’s Spanish courses are of poor quality or the student did poorly in them.
@jhmoney - sorry for the delay - All of the grades would be averaged into the GPA but for the academic unit count - there would be 3 units of Spanish.
@funfit - Yes 2 years of Foreign Language in the Academic unit.
I checked in with FSU just to make sure we weren’t an outlier in our thinking but they do they same - Spanish 1/Dual Enrollment Spanish 1 are repeated courses.
@Melissa96 will the one less unit count make a big difference? my daughters recalculated GPA is 4.65…
One unit difference is not much, no.
@Melissa96 just so I got this right, what is considered a good range for # of units and how do I calculate Units?
@Melissa96 thank you for the research and response. ?. The dual enrollment credit for Spanish 1 and 2 would meet the UF language requirement?
@funfit - Spanish 1 and 2 meet the foreign language requirement so long as they are at least 4 credits each.
@jhmoney - Academic units are the number of Math, English, Science, Social Science, Foreign language credit a student takes in high school (also ALL - AP, IB, AICE)
@Melissa96 thanks for that! here is my best question? AP Stats vs AP Calc? my daughter is hell bent on AP Stats but the guidance counselor so no chance UF will consider her with that vs AP Calc senior year? thoughts
Senior year math AP is a math AP - if you daughter wanted to be an engineer, just strictly for exposure otherwise Calc might be better, otherwise it’s a senior year math AP.
