Did you pursue more than one language? If so, how was it? Is it possible to do if you are planning to concentrate in something other than a language?

And - this might be very rare - do students get more than 1 language citation?

My first boyfried at Harvard was a Chem major and took German, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish. I don't think he took more than a year or two of any of them. I took two years of German and some advanced French lit classes. (I'd spent a gap year in France.) I was a VES major. This was before the core curriculum however, I think we had more free slots for electives. Not sure how the most recent version of the Core will effect things.

For some concentrations (i.e. Romance Languages + Literatures) taking two or more languages is the norm.

If it's not the case that your concentration allows you to take language classes for concentration credit, it's certainly possible to use your electives to take as many language classes as you can fit in. Getting two citations would require some careful planning though (less so if you already are at an intermediate or advanced level in the languages, or do a summer language program).
