So, I already speak Japanese & English proficiently. I've contacted the BS I'm going to, and they don't offer Japanese at my level, so I have to take another language.
My dad thinks a classical diploma, though "pointless" in real life, is pretty neat.
My mom thinks I should learn either French or Chinese.

I think I'd like to go into law or lobbying, etc. My best subjects are the languages, and debate/ MUN.

What language should I take for my 3rd? Also, do you think it makes any sense to take the Japanese AP Exam freshman year? Would colleges even look at it?

Take the Japanese exam.
I would say take Chinese because it uses some of the same characters as Japanese.
Take French if you want to learn a European language.

Take the Japanese exam. AP language exams are the hardest ones.
I’ve been trying to self teach myself Japanese for a bit.
I take Chinese in school, and it’s my best class partly due to the fact that I can recognize many characters right off the bat because the Japanese language uses them, too.
If you know Japanese, you will find Chinese easy, which is great because it is among the hardest languages that an English speaker can learn.
