Laptop, PC or Tablet PC?

Well, the title pretty much says it all.

For your college experience, what was the most useful type of computer?

I'm deciding on whether to bring a laptop for fast typing in english classes (180 WPM), a tablet PC for math classes, or just a PC to do all my stuff at my dorm.

Any suggestions?

From what I've found, laptops are the way to go. Tablets, to me, don't seem efficient enough for college. You might look into the hybrid ones (detachable keyboard, that sort of thing). This seems nice:

Besides those with detachable keyboards, there are also convertible tablets where the screen swivels around to sit on top of the keyboard.

I have also heard that laptops are the way to go over desktops because of the versatility, even more so if your school has wireless coverage on campus. You might also check to see if you can get some sort of deal/educational discount on your computer and/or some software through your school. That's what I'm doing.
