Laptop Suggestions

My Son is attending the capstone this fall as a microbiology major and of course has started the hunt for a laptop. He has looked at both apple and pc. Does the university put out a list recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC App

I don’t think it makes any difference.

My kids have used PCs (Dells) for undergrad, and now my older son has a Macbook Pro for grad school.

At this stage in your son’s career, chose a laptop that he is comfortable using. Even with his microbiology major, his laptop use will be predominantly for word documents and personal use. If your son is used to a mac, get a mac…if he is used to a pc, get a pc.

Whatever laptop you decide on, make sure and pick up an Ethernet cable. My D was in Riverside West this past year and complained constantly about the poor wireless speed during high traffic hours. We sent her with a 5 ft. Cable, but then added a 20 ft. Cable later so she could use her laptop from her bed.
