Large Discrepancy in fees for out-of-state at UMich

Hi all,

I was looking at fees for umich (specifically Ross) for out of state students and I found two different figures, 37,000 and 18,000

Here are the two links;
Tuition and Registration Fees - Office of the Registrar

and

Office of Financial Aid: Cost of Attendance

Any help clarifying this would be really great!

I am not sure what the $18,000 figure is all about. Tuition for in-state students is $13,000-$14,000 and for out-of-state students is $38,000-$40,000. That’s just tuition. Room and board, books, entertainment etc…add up to ~$15,000.

The figure from the Office of the Registrar is per term (multiply x 2).

The figure from your first link is just tuition (no books, room & board, etc.). The most correct figures for you would be $50,352 total. $37,782 from tuition & fees, $1,048 from books & supplies, $9,468 from room & board, and $2,054 from personal & miscellaneous.

It’s 18,794/semester (for LSA) + fees (of about $100 I guess).
