Last Chance for MIT, Caltech, etc..

uh...i thikn u can get in to everything :)

What about Princeton? I kind of want to go there and major in math.

In UCB and Carnegie Mellon.

As for your other schools, I'd say you have a decent shot at all of them, but they're also all notorious for rejecting incredible students (namely Asians).

P.S. It's not a comforting feeling to know I'm competing with people like you for MIT. : )

Good luck!

Yes it is true, MIt is kind of tough on asian males. However, they do accept 100's of them every year.

Honestly, of all asian males I know, I don't know one that has both USAMO and siemens. That's just crazy.

If this kid can't get in, who can?

u might even have a better chance at Harvard than at MIT. Since MIT doesn't want too much asian/ male, including me.

lol, nah, Harvard rejects IMO people, so it's even more random than MIT.

lol i think i know you too >_>;;

well, you got into everywhere now....lol

lol @ my original chance. Dang I was dumb back then.

Haha, nice :D

I think you have a very good chance at the tech schools. Plus, you aren't an Asian stereotype imo because look at my profile, I don't suck at math but I'm certainly no expert of any kind, coming from an Asian.

Alexa, fyi stupidkid is a freshman at Harvard now....he got into all of the colleges he applied to last year...

whoa what?
how did you make USNCO?

Your stats are okay…but there are a few problems.

1) Your CR score is atrocious.
2) You don’t play a sport.
3) You’re Asian.

In other words…I would only apply to state schools. Sorry to be harsh, buddy…But someone’s gotta be realistic, and if I have to be that person, then so be it. If you’re from NY (your uber Asian profile makes you seem as though you’re from CA or NY and you’ve already said that you’re not from CA) then I would look to apply to the SUNYs. You will most likely make them all, but be aware that Binghamton is not a guarantee. Best of luck; you’ll need it if you’re even thinking about applying to top 50 schools.

Haha Monstor, stupidkid was accepted to HYPSM + everywhere else he applied to, I believe he’s a rising sophomore at Harvard now.

This man is made of pure win.

My only question is why he picked Harvard over MIT :(

Yea he did get accepted everywhere…he went to my school (that’s why I asked him about USNCO because I never knew our school offered it—and they did, but only when he was there–I had to call the USNCO director to get him to offer it again this year, which was pretty neat).

I know his answer to this question, as I once asked him too at school, and I can pm it to you…just kinda weird if I am speaking for someone else by posting it to the whole world.

Scores wise, you are really set. SAT’s and SATII’s are as ideal as they could be.

Your long history in scientific activities will give u more of an edge. unfortunately your asians XD. I am also, so don’t sweat.

Hey I think u have a great chance at all those schools! You’ve done tons of competitions and showed a genuine interest in science and scored very high on SAT’s. I think the only thing u CAN do now is to make your essays amazing ;).

chance me too

Did he already go to college?? Since this thread is old.

Yes; apparently he was accepted by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, and everywhere else he applied.
