Hello,

Some schools accept up to Jan SAT test scores and the others up to Dec. So, you should contact the admissions office of the college you’re applying to and ask.

If the college requires a transfer applicant to submit SAT or ACT, they usually don’t mention any date by whiich it has to be taken because they are expecting to see the one from high school.

If you are really considering a retake for a transfer, then it just depends on the application deadline and when they make decisions which varies among colleges. You just have to look at probable date school would receive your score and if it is a month or more before final decisions are released you are probably safe. For example, if school has March app deadline for transfers and sends out decisions in May, you would definitely be safe with the Jan SAT and may even be able to send March test but that one is more iffy.

Thanks drusba! Cleared it up for me.
