Last minute chances

Hey, I've been lurking for a loooong time on this forum, and I find that many of the posters are intelligent, articulate and helpful. Thanks to all those people for providing such a useful resource.

Ok so anyway, I'm finally posting. I applied to a slew of schools and am hearing back in 2 weeks, but i just kind of wanted to ask what people thought my chances were. Here's my stats:

GPA: 4.12 W, probably 3.6 UW
Rank: top decile, my school doesnt rank
SATs: 1530 old (800 verbal), 2330 new (800 verbal and writing)
SAT IIs: 800 USH, 800 Bio, 790 Lit (god this is tedious to list)

courses: all APs, in every subject, the usual heavy courseload for a competitive public school. I've taken 6 AP exams and gotten four 5s and two 4s (Physics, Lang, Bio, USH, Euro, French Lang)

ECs: mostly writing, founded my own alternative paper, edit school paper, Quizbowl team, hospital volunteer, edit Lit mag, tutor. They're not very impressive.

possible hook: I'm mixed race, half Native American. Also I submitted a writing portfolio, which my english teacher and guidance counselor liked

Anyone willing to read this boring post, thanks in advance. If you could help me out with a few comments, on my chances at Princeton, UPenn, Chicago, Northwestern, UCBerkeley, Columbia and Brown that would be awesome. If not, cool anyway cuz i love this forum

Don't second guess yourself at the last minute. Your stats are strong for anyone, and native american ethnicity really, really helps. I think you have an excellent chance at all the schools on your list.

Forgot to add something, I'm also a national merit finalist. Thanks for that quick response. I'd try to not second guess myself but... ah it's hard.

For the record, I'd bet on your acceptance. But try not to dwell too much in these last few weeks (haha I should take my own advice).

It's very possible. The creative writing program at Princeton is spectacular - that may help you.

In for sure at UC Berkeley though UCs are much more competitive for out-of-staters. UCs are very statiscally oriented so I think you're a shoe-in.
