Last minute help please!

<p>Does anyone here know or remember the name of Dean of Admissions of Columbia last year---he was also the regional representative for Michigan. Part 1 of Columbia application asks if the student talked to anyone about about admissions process. My daughter overlooked that section thinking it was meant for legacies and atheletes. When she read the application closely (almost ready to mail it out) she noticed it was a general question. Since we did chat with him briefly during our visit after information session she thought she should put his name in there but none of us remember his name anymore. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you</p>

<p>Most students in Columbia College and the School of Engineering and Applied Science first encountered Eric Furda’s name at the bottom of their acceptance letters to Columbia. When they graduate, they will hear from him once again.</p>

<p>Furda, formerly the director of undergraduate admissions, became vice president for University development and alumni relations, a newly-created position, after the class of 2008 was admitted in April of 2004.</p>

<p>As director of undergraduate admissions, Furda oversaw the unification of Columbia College and SEAS admissions. During his term, Columbia undergraduate admissions also saw an upsurge in applications and a decline in acceptance rate. When Furda arrived in admissions in 1991, Columbia received about 10,000 undergraduate applications per year and had an admissions rate of nearly 25 percent. By 2004, there were more than 15,000 undergraduate applicants and an admissions rate of about 10 percent.</p>

<p>Jessica Marinaccio, the director of admissions operations, will assume the position of director of admissions for Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science in April 2004, following current director Eric Furda's move to vice president of alumni relations.</p>
