Hey guys! Thought we needed a thread to let out our final thoughts and questions and share any new information with one another. We find out in basically three days! Crazy how fast time has flown by.

Has anyone checked their isis to see if they have any charges due or any new information? the link is this: https://www.isis.ufl.edu/

Or has anyone checked their my.ufl.edu account to see any new roles or options?

Goodluck everybody! Hopefully in three days we'll all be proud gators!

My son’s status shows that his first semester senior grades were received on 1/19 . Does anyone know if all high schools send these grades to UF, or if they are only sent at the request of the university?

Does anyone know if I have to send college transcripts if applying as a Freshman?

@fsutimes2: some high schools will automatically send 1st semester grades after the new grades are in to all the universities the student had previously sent transcripts to as a courtesy. I have never heard of UF requesting transcripts regardless of the caliber of the student unless perhaps your son applied to a special program like the accelerated medical program.

@runescapeowns1: if you have college transcripts you need to send them regardless of if you are coming from high school because depending on the number of credits you have you may not be classified as a traditional freshman applicant.

my transcripts were sent also. I hope they look at them as I had all a’s with 4 ap’s.

Thanks for your reply, julius305. I have confirmed that his high school automatically sent the 1st semester transcripts for all UF applicants. And great job on your 1st semester grades, hghschjunior! I hope they consider them as well, and I wish you the best on Friday evening :)

Thank you for your good wishes. I’m wondering if anyone knows if there are any telltale signs that you were accepted or for that matter denied. I looked on isis and nothing has opened up…so…anyone been allowed to go into the section to make your deposit. Grasping at straws.

Anyone out there from last year, someone at school said they came out a day early. That might not be true…

Thoughts?

Can every one log in to Gator one central or does it mean something if you can get in. Getting so desperate for a decision it’s becoming obsessive!!

I got rejected and still can log into gatone 1 central so no it doesn’t mean anything.

This is funny…I find myself sleeping alot lately so that the time moves faster. Would like to know one way or the other so I can stop manipulating it in my mind. the funny part is my application is sitting there and someone already knows my fate. Nuts.

You should go see a movie and go theatre hopping the day will go by quicker, lol.
I know how frustrating it can be. When I first applied to colleges when I was in HS they never had the online check thing, so you’d just forget about it. Now with the online status check I found myself checking obsessivly for UF, and now am doing that w/ FSU and USF now. It is indeed, nuts.

The admissions decisions will not be released before February 10. For those whose file is incomplete they may send you a notice or e-mail that your decision will not be available on February 10. Admissions decisions will be posted by 6:00 P.M. However, in years past, including last year when I was accepted for Fall 2011, some decisions were available at 4:30 P.M. All were up by 6:00 PM although getting through on Gatorlink was not easy especially from 6:00 PM through 9:30 PM. Only accepted students will receive a written admission decision. Those who are denied will only receive their decision online. Remember with about 33,000 applicants demands on the servers will be great. UF’s Computer Science System Management will request all current UF students to avoid use of the UF network during this peak time . If accepted your decision will indicate whether your acceptance is for Fall, Summer B or Spring 2013. Be patient and good luck.

does anyone know if they waitlist or defer?

In the past have people found out earlier than 6? It took me a while to find out for FSU, but hopefully UF will be better.

2 days!!

A friend’s son was deferred last year and was eventually admitted. He was told in March. I don’t think it is too common but I have heard of it happening. Also, you may be offered a different term than what you applied for, including Spring of 2013. I’m not sure about a wait list. I have never heard of that at UF but it’s possible. Good luck!

So if your admissions profile is complete and everything went well, they send you the e-mail that says “Freshmen decisions will be available at 6:00 PM Friday, February 10th” or whatever?

Im just going to expect rejection so I wont have any hard surprises if I do get rejected.

Im guessing I will be rejected because my rank was horrible because they included my senior year, in which my grades were incomplete etc.

If I can show them my official rank, which is most likely in top 50-70 out of 700, will they reconsider or anything?

Can they even waitlist people? I checked the option to be considered for the innovation academy too.

UF does not waitlist at all. They may tell you they cannot make a decision on your application either because something is missing or has not been updated or because they need clarification on something in your admission file.

UF does not use the senior year midyear reports in order to make their decision. They require them after you get in though. Your schools might automatically send them since other schools you applied to might want them–but UF won’t look at them.

Has anyone checked their my.ufl.edu and seen if there are any new options/tabs? or any new roles? still trying to beat the system early…
